I am one of those annoying people that loves April fools day, as my daughter said to me the other day” Mum I think you spend all year thinking of April fools wind ups” well not quite but I do enjoy it.
Anyway this year it arrived Wednesday morning, rushing around as usual getting ready for work, I yelled at John get here now we have a problem, now what was the response from my loving husband. We have a mouse in the pantry one of your cereal boxes has fallen on the floor and it is in there, as we live in the middle of the country this is very possible.
John replied I don’t do mice, I have a phobia, I replied, just get it sorted, he said I will let the cat in, John hates this cat and they are always at war, so John opened the door and the cat ran in the other direction, he turned to me then he said I have not got my shoes on, I answered for gods sake it’s a mouse not jaws, he was getting paler by the minute, and I yelled April fool, he stood for a moment and then a huge smile came across his face as he said yeah good one, and we both really laughed as even the cat would not help him out.
Look out next year who knows!!
