Read an article while sat in the garden with my sister in law, it triggered an interesting conversation, so I thought I would share our thoughts. The article was titled” At last I don’t have to bother with sex” a lady went on to say how happy she was now that she was no longer sexually active, she was only 65yrs, she talked about sex as it had been the hardest of chores, but she complied to make sure she kept her husband, my first thoughts where how sad.
I then turned to my sister in law, I am seven years older than her, and we talked about our feelings on this and gladly we both agreed, we think it just gets better and better, we know longer have to be a sex goddess in bed, instead we can be fulfilled mature women who know what they want and also know how to give pleasure, yes some of the urgency goes that you get in new relationships but that is replaced with a tenderness that comes with understanding each other, not feeling judged if you do turn around and say I really am too tired tonight and settliing for a cuddle.
I am not saying though just because you have been in a relationship for a long time that you should put the sexy underwear away, just that the partnership has reached a more solid point that, it is always a nice to give the man you love a special night but you should never feel you have to perform.
Getting back to that poor lady, I can only think her experiences have been very bad and she has never felt a true union of bodies locked together in the blankets of love.
