Susie’s Ninja Baked Apple Crumble

Posted on January 28, 2023Updated on January 28, 2023by susievenahunterCategories:My Day & Everyday, Yummies

Ingredients for the apple mix:

  • 3 medium sized cooking apples , peeled and finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1 tables spoon of raisins or sultanas
  • A small handful of chopped nuts (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped up small lumps of butter
  • 2 large tablespoon’s of Demerara sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon or nutmeg

Ingredients for the dry crumble mix

  • 3ozs of flour
  • 3ozs of rolled oats
  • 3ozs of butter
  • 3 ozs of Demerara sugar

Peel and finally chop 3 medium sized cooking apples, then pour 1 tablespoon of lemon juice over peeled apples and apples tossed around in it . Add 1 tables spoon of raisins or sultanas with a small handful of chopped nuts; this is optional, not essential, we just like nuts 🙂

In a separate dish add 2 tablespoons of chopped up small lumps of butter with 2 large tablespoon’s of Demerara sugar and 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon or nutmeg. Stir all this together, the share between two glass dishes .

Place into Ninja making sure you removed the crisping plate first turn Ninja on to roast for about 10 mins but do keep an eye on it !! You want it to cook down but not burn temperature 170 but turn up to 180 if you feel it is not cooking quick enough. Although I covered mine with foil but I won’t be next time as I had to remove the foil for it to cook down .

The dry crumble mix is rubbed together in mixing bowl but you can put it in good mixer but don’t blitz it much as you won’t get the crunch. Mine was just rubbed together in my finger tips till if felt like big breadcrumbs. When rubbed together share between the two apple dishes, but don’t pat it down just put inside the ninja and turn roast back on set to 180 for about 10 mins or a little longe.

You need to check for the colour and also it starts to smell when nearly finished . You may need a little longer depending on how fine your topping is!

If you feel after 5 mins it is not cooking quick enough you can turn it up to 190 but do be careful as it burns easily. Enjoy xx
