Christenings and Birthdays, next is Christmas

We had a wonderful christening for Ben on the 4th of December, it was a quite family affair but it was really special. The church was decked out in tasteful Christmas attire, Joanne turned the children out looking like little princes and princeses and of course Ben dressed in cream silk suit looked very regal, afterwards it was back to Jo’s for bubbly and eats, the whole event was lovely.

This weekend was my birthday and I have been deeply touched at the special wishes and cards I have received from friends and family some living close and others far away, plus some amazing gifts. I must have been really nice in the past twelve months or is it just that during these hard times we are a little more grateful, not quite sure on that one. Jo also took me out for a brilliant lunchtime treat to one of our little brasseries in town, it was a treat from her and Graham, he also baby sat so we could go and it was such a nice couple of hours together.

This is now the final week to Christmas and I am still not ready, but I am sure that even if I have to stay up all Christmas eve I shall embrace Christmas day with all the vigor that I normally do, it is also very different from now on as the day before we will be celebrating Ben’s first birthday so our festivities really will start a day early. Fingers crossed this year I keep my darling Husband safe as last Christmas day he felt and broke his ankle, so this year I really just want all my family safe, well and happy, the same goes to all my special friends. stay warm safe and happy.xxxxx
