A week of real highs and lows, not the best way to send your week a bit like a roller coaster. The highs consisted of Imogen settling so well into her new school, the shower at last is working in Paige’s bathroom, she had her first shower and loved it. Last night John took me out for supper, that was a really nice treat, we went to The Thia Orchid in Salisbury, amazing food also a really nice atmosphere we then came home and watch a movie so it was a good night.
The lows started early in the week with news that Paige’s social worker had gone on long term sick, not good as we had about to begin the process of upgrading her care package, we do not want to have to change as Joanne has a good relationship with this one, so it is sit and wait, Paige’s new wheelchair which looks nice we now know is not correct for her and her physio called it rubbish so yet another set back, and then to put the icing on the cake John had a really bad car crash and wrote his car off, thank god though he is ok, and the other couple involved who’s car is also wrote off they are also ok. John was really upset as he caused the accident, simply an error of judgement, not speeding as I first thought it may have been. The police said it was his car that saved him, so i have got to be grateful for that. Now we are faced with being offered a very small amount of money to replace the car, which we know we will not be able too, the car had far more value to us than it does on the open market, we had it from new and kept it well serviced and looked after so the task ahead is not going to be easy, but at least John is still here with me.
So last night when we went out it was kind off special, as we were enjoying the fact we are still together to look after each other. Have a good safe weekend to you all. xx
