Holidays Over & Back To Reality

Our annual trip tp Center Parcs is behind us now but it has left us all with lots more wonderful memories, nights sat beside the log fire drinking red wine and eating cheese, followed by a session in our own sauna, oh how I could live that way.

The weather this year was not as good as other years, we had a lot of rain which meant we did not get out into the forest as much as we normally do, and the children did not get to use the amazing playgrounds as much as other years, but on the plus side the dome is so warm and comfortable the children got to swim more than ever, also this year Imogen used the new ice rink set up for the Christmas period.

The sad thing this year is that it is the last time we go as a large group, my brother has had to accept that his son cannot really afford to take a week out of school now he has gone on to secondary education, which is sad as we will really miss them, and Joe and Graham will not be going next year as their family is about to increase in size, plus they are having to lay out extra money for a new larger vehicle (bus) to get them all about, so next year John and I will be there on our own celebrating his 50th birthday, although we have decide Longleat is a good option then at least Joe can bring the children for a day and we can give John a good birthday.

I do hope that it is not the end of a family tradition as it had become very special, a time when cousins get to enjoy quality time togehter because when you live a long distance apart it is nice to have that family time, it is somewhere we all get to switch off from the day to day routine, well fingers crossed for another year.

Paige had an amazing week, she swam everyday, in fact I had to fight with her to get her out of the pools, she had a wonderful bikeride around the forest on our one sunny day and spent lots of time cuddling her Uncle David who she loves very much. I had a truly relaxing session at the spa there, 3 hours of total bliss which I would love to do once a month, need to make more money is the answer to that.

Our first week back and it was full steam ahead, loads of appointments came rolling in for Paigey, the birth of my new grandson draws nearer and I am looking forward to meeting him, Joe is getting super organized just in case he either comes early or on Christmas day which could well happen, so Christmas shopping has been going on. Paige also received a new powered wheelchair which although is not as good as her old one, it is still a nice chair but it needs some body supports for her, but she loves it just as it is.

My diary is now jammed to over flowing, we are having suppers out with friends, people to see for lunches, shopping to do and the list just goes on and on so folks i would like to skip this chrsitmas and try and be ready for the following year!!! somehow do not think the kids would be very pleased with that!

John has a business meeting at the Holiday Inn, Solstice Park Amesbury and came back telling me we have got to go there and try it out as it is amazing so I will be letting you know in the near future what it is like as it does look very nice, well good luck with the Christmas shopping, buy it all now before the extra vat in January. love Susie.xx
