This is an apology, John is my husband we have been married 16 years on the 12th of June, he is having a really hard time at the moment and these last few days I have not made it any easier for him. He did have a secure job but like all of us wanted to advance himself so he left to join a local company which after 12 weeks laid him off that was in February, now he is being told he is either too old or has too many skills, facing stiff competition from lots of young graduates so his confidence is low, but he never stays down long and is now in the throws of starting his own I.T. support and Web design business. With only my money coming in we have had to cut many things and change the way we live, I have always said we are in this together, yet in a moment of anger over worrying about meeting the bills I said the awful words. ” I earn the money” talk about sticking the boot in when someone is down, how could I do it.??
We have been through so much together good and bad, memories of been in his rock band together, even being mobbed one night and he came to my rescue, seeing him start a new career years ago and years of studying when I was out enjoying myself, over the years he has earned more than I ever could and I have enjoyed those years so now when the going is hard, I will ride it through by his side, till we rise again.
So John when you read this I write it with regret at hurting you and to say I love you and will be there for you, soon the fun times will return.xxxx
