This morning I was watching early morning TV, on it was a lady of 72yrs telling the world she wants to be a mother, maybe I am wrong but this really got to me, at 72 pet you’ve missed the boat, she claimed she was not ready when she was younger. I can understand that to a point, but this is a woman who has reached old age and looks lonely and it came across as though she thought this would be the missing void in her life, I say what about the child when you are likely to snuff it within 10 years or so, no siblings to comfort the child, and other children are cruel that child would be taunted for having such an old mother. Only last week that other woman that was 69 when she had twins died leaving the twins 3 years old without a mother, let alone the energy you need to look after young children, I am thinking more of toddlers who get into everything, I find them tiring and I am only in my fifties.
If she is lonely be a stand in granny for some families, but she should stop and think about the future of the child she wants to bring into the world.
