On the morning of Paige’s 13th birthday I got up to be greeted with a view from my bedroom window of a winter wonderland at least 4inches of snow, my first thought was I hope I get down to Salisbury to spend the day with Paige.
My poor brother who lives in the North East of England has about 18inches of snow and it has been around for about 2 weeks, so really I should not be complaining. I did drive to Salisbury and it was a very scary journey or the first part was, just getting from our farm on to a main road which had been gritted took me about 30 minutes normally takes about 8.
Paige had a lovely birthday, it turned out all the schools had shut so her brothers and sister were at home with her, they started the day with sledging, Paige just wanted to stay warm and play with her new toys, her main present was a mechanical cat which purrs, meows and washes it’s self, she loves it to bits, she also got new games for her DS and DVD’s of her favorite tv programmes.
When the children came in we had a really nice party lunch which was then followed by the cake cutting and eating, it was a lovely family birthday.
Next morning when I was washing Paige I found she had an infected big toe so we had to shoot of to the doctors to get antibiotics for her, she was quite upset that she had to go but she has been a good girl and is taking the medicine, it is just a shame that it was straight after her birthday she is having to more medicine. Glad to say I think it is starting to get better, we are now awaiting the arrival of our latest member of the family who could make an appearance any day now, we are also trying to think about Christmas, we are always busy never bored. xxxx
