This is for one of my very good friends Carole, we had coffee together this morning, she mentioned the state of the roads, so this rant is sounding off for her.
I have got to agree with Carole, we both have to be on the roads most of the time as it is part of our jobs, the condition they are getting into is shocking.
I found when I moved down here 16 years ago I thought the roads bad then, but since then they seem to get worse each year, they do send men out to do what can only be called patch up jobs but after the next bad rain storm it seems that the repair has been washed away.
Both Carole and I have had our vehicles suffer due to these holes, and the size of the lanes sometimes you cannot avoid them, if you did you would likely hit another car.
The consideration of taking legal action against the council for my car repairs has crossed my mind but the chances of me winning that case are about as high as winning the lottery.
I had always believed Potholing was done below the ground but ours are so large it is now an activity you can enjoy above ground in the comfort of your car.!!! .
