The label on the bottle describes this wine as big,rich and ripe and that’s all it says, which in the world of wine is slightly different, it is South African and quite a powerful 14%, it made me curious so I had to try it.
It is not amazing but at £3.99 you are not going to get that, but it is rich and big, in fact if given a full hour at room temperature it springs to life with masses of raspberry and blackcurrant, and a soft sweetness breaking through, I had it with a pasta dish which it really complimented and then finished it off with cheese and biscuits, yes I will buy it again, and I will make sure it gets that hour to breath.
