According to the stats the sales of champagne dropped last year to the same level back in 2002, yet britain remains the biggest importer in the world, so now tell me their is no money around! Also the wine experts state that there is still nothing coming forward from the New worlds to match Champagne, which as I adore Champagne do have to agree with them, anyway in London last week all the top wine experts got together and went through ten thousand bottle of Champagne to give out the anual awards, I have simply listed the top 3 and the intresting thing is that one of then I can afford to buy.
- Tattinger 1998 retailing at £100 per bottle
- Bollinger Grande Annee at £59 per bottle
- Heidsieck 2004 Gold Top Brut at £19.50 per bottle
Now guess which one I am going out to buy, you may have to look around for number 3 as I forsee that one selliing very quickly and also going up in price, go on crack some bubbles.
