VW Polo joining the family.

I have survived the horrors of the second hand car market, I should say only just survived. I have found this one of the most stressful, scary things I have ever had to do, part of it is my own fault as I have left it till the last moment only 14 days MOT left on my old car. Living in the countryside I could not be without a car so I really did begin to panic, if I had shed loads of money well that would have been no problem but with a budget of just £1,000 the world is not your oyster.

It has proved a very enlightening experience one person,s definition of good condition and another’s can be poles apart, the car I am parting with looked much better than a lot I went to see. People would say OH yes the car is in good condition and then when I had maybe drove 30 miles to see it to find it has great dents in the side, that does not look like good condition to me. After many frustrating calls and sitting up till all hours looking at the internet I found a car in a garage not to far away that was a little over budget, but when the guy at the garage offered me a 30 day warranty I thought this is what I need, something that gives me a little bit of confidence. The car I have bought is plain and simple it does not have loads of gizmo’s that can go wrong, it has a full service history and just looks a nice little car so now I am keeping my fingers crossed that it is going to all work out, people have told me that they are good cars, to be honest I was so desperate to finish this awful search I would have bought just about anything with four wheels and an engine. I am now going to have a few days chilling out to settle my nerves.
