Antibiotics to greet the New Year.

We had the best Christmas day we have had in years, we had the guest cottage to use which gave us a lot more space and although John ‘s contract had finished with no sign of any work in the near future I felt very relaxed and happy. I believe after last Christmas day when John fell and broke his ankle that this seemed blissful, the children all six of them were also very relaxed, happy without the often mad Christmas frenzy so in truth it was a perfect Christmas day.

What I failed to tell you was that I had already been to the doctors on the 22nd and been put onto antibiotics for a chest infection and I believed I had got in there early enough to stop it getting worse, which in a way is true because although over the weeks I have felt ill, I have not been as bad as I was two years ago.

As new Year approach I was put on stronger antibiotics which meant it was my driest New Years eve for many years, a simple glass of Champagne at midnight.

Now it is the 16th of January and guess what I am still on antibiotics, so now I feel quite down about it, I have tried doing without them and end up hardly breathing, so fingers crossed this time they do the job.

Having John at home for a couple of weeks has been great for me, loved having him around, I know he was worrying time with out work is no money in the bank but I would love to have my husband back full time just going to work and coming home like others do, but instead I wave him off on a Monday and then just long for Fridays. I am sure this year things will start to ease and everyone will get a better year or that is what I am hoping for, so now I am setting my mind on spring and all the wonderful things i hope to do with the year. My Daughter Jo has a very busy year ahead of her as she has become chairperson for a new charity which is already keeping her very busy but she will be awesome in this role.

So let us all stay positive and look forward to a wonderful year..xxxx
