Busy Times

This week I have had a couple of days off, dreaming of having a little bit of quite time and get a few chores done, not a chance, John got a call for a short contract to Swindon, so that threw a spanner in the works straight away. The contract entailed me having to set up an umbrella system for the tax, and also having to ring Swindon council about there carparks as John seemed to find one which charged more than Park Lane, it turned out he had parked on the wrong floor and the £22 a day parking was then down to £8 still expensive.

Today Paige had a review at Southampton and Joe was told the surgery had failed, we already knew that, you can tell when things are not right, they said that her brain is not sending the correct signals to the muscles and that there is nothing they can do other than monitor and consider major bone surgery later, which unless she is in awful pain we could not consider, but poor little girl is now more disabled than ever, she used to be able to sit up, but that now has gone, her legs now lay there as though they are dead and she has to ask us to move them for her, it is really heartbreaking, saying that she is still as bright as ever. Tomorrow I am meeting the senior physio from the hospital and we are taking Paige swimming so she is really excited, that’s the type of physio Paige can put up with.

My new son in law is also doing very well and has just recieved promotion, it does mean he may work some extra hours but I think we all understand that when you move forward there are a few sacrifices along the way. I am still looking into a few design changes on my site and also bringing in a page that links other sites for kids with extra needs, but not tonight as my bed is calling.
