Congratulations Katy & Richard

Last weekend was very special for me, I travelled home to the North East to attend my nieces wedding, my sister should have been Mother of the bride but cancer took Katy’s mum from us 12 years ago, the wedding ceremony saw a few of us with tears in our eyes, tears of joy and pride, but also regret, so it was a very emotional weekend.

Katy looked truly beautiful and the whole day was very special, it was a magical setting and with the very classy Christmas decorations that had been put up it was also quite festive.

The night before was my favorite event we went to Katy’s Dads house for a few drinks and a get together before the day, it was lovely just my brother and his wife, me and John and David and Linda, Katy’s step mum and Katy herself, we laughed and chatted, lots of hugs for our girl all grown up, and I also kept having my champagne glass filled so needless to say I had quite a head next morning, but I could not refuse a good champagne that would never do.

A huge thank you to my darling brother and his wife who always put us up when we visit, they are great fun to be with and both are so very kind to us and we miss them lots.

I am afraid now though I am in blind panic as I really have to get my mind round Christmas, maybe I could skip this one and catch up next year I might just be ready for that.
