A Good Day To Swim

I spent the day running against the clock today trying to achieve everything within a set time, frustration being stuck on Southampton road for over 40mins today, when i finally got to Joanne’s house to collect Paige I was stressed and hot and bothered, not the perfect way to meet up with the physiotherapist before we went swimming.

As we approach the swimming pool Paige suddenly let out a shriek of delight as she new she was really going swimming and to the pool she has always wanted to go too.

Paige had the most wonderful hour not knowing she was doing anything other than having lots of fun, and it was great to share that with her, Anne her therapist was so over the moon that it went so well and was shocked to see how much Paige loved the water. The plan is now to make this a regular thing for Paige as it is now the only safe form of exercise she can have, but Paige does not mind one bit.

One comment though was that the changing cabin was not fully equipped for the disabled, no hoist, no bed to lay a person on for changing, but it was big enough and did have a shower that the swim chair could go straight into, so marks out of ten for Salisbury pool 7.
