My weekend was very special, it was one of the best Mother’s Day I have had, it started early because it sort of started on the Saturday lunchtime, Joanne took me out to lunch in Salisbury and a girlie shop afterwards which I really enjoyed. When I got home on Saturday evening John had cooked supper so it was a very nice day.
On the Sunday Joanne had invited us to their house for Sunday lunch, and it was wonderful, she really spoilt me, a nice bottle of fizz to start of with and then a wonderful meal followed by a fantastic dessert which she had made herself, she always says she cannot do puddings well that is no longer true. After our meal in came not one presi but bags of presents I could not believe it, a new handbag, a new top also a new cardigan, followed by ear rings, a bangle, a box to keep things in, also chocolates, perfume spray, daffodils, face cream, and another bottle of very good wine, plus a card she had made for me with photos of the children and me and her on, I was so over whelmed, she said she always wants to get me little things when we are out together but she had decided to pick things up for me and keep them for Mothers day and make it special which it certainly did, but if I had got nothing at all except a kiss and a hug, her just taking the time out on her day as well to make lunch for me was very thoughtful and loving of her.
After our lunch it was such nice weather we went out for a walk, we took Jo’s dog with us as well which Paige loved as she held him and on the straight bits of path he pulled her along and she laughed her head off, he is a shih-tzu not a husky, we had lots of laughs and giggles as we walked beside the river on a lovely sunny afternoon the perfect end to a perfect day.
