Ritz Tea

Tea time will never be the same, it was a fantastic experience and one I hope to do again, our day started with the train to London at 8.30am then jumping on the tube to Piccadilly and having a quick breakfast in Cafe Nero then we hit the shops, which was wonderful. As we had booked tea for 3.30pm we soon had to make our way to the hotel in doing so we managed to take a look at Tiffanys, Cartia and Prada to name but a few, also a quick stop at the Royal Academy of Arts .

When we got to the hotel the doormen greeted us with a formal good afternoon Madam and we made our way through, we were then shown to our table and the piano and harp music began so did the tea service, the waiters in their formal suits with tails, the setting is magic and the food is to die for, we even had extra sandwiches and ended up having to leave some of our scones as we just could not eat any more, the cakes I could not resist and ended up making myself feel almost sick, but the champagne kept me going, the tea I chose because I wanted to try something different was a Lapsang Souchong Imperiale and it was very different I loved it but it did smell like an oak bonfire which gave Joanne and I quite a giggle, our 2 hours their went so quickly I loved every minute sharing it with my daughter and so want to do it again, but we have lots of other things planned for the future.
