A Snowy Family Weekend

The snow arrived early this year I have been telling my brother he can keep it in North Yorkshire but I am afraid it found it’s way to Wiltshire, along with sub zero temperatures. This also happened to be the weekend we had chose to go out with our friends, but we braved the temperatures and icy roads to have a lovely evening with them both, they may well be leaving this part of the country soon to return to the Isle of Man if they do we will miss them very much, but we will have some holidays with them.

Joanne sent me a text this morning to invite us for Sunday lunch, I felt guilty excepting as she is soon to give birth to our new grandson, and already has a large brood to feed but we knew it would be really nice all of us together. She cooked us a wonderful Sunday lunch we all sat together around the family table, the children laughing and telling tales, it was a very good lunch, nothing left over also followed by a lovely pear tart for puds, I felt so lucky that she wanted us there and to do this for us when really she should have been resting.

Well tonight I have to start searching for the Christmas Decorations I love Christmas but I am more and more wanting to go back to old fashioned values and get away from just the commercial side of it, no I do not mean that the kids should not get their toys, I love to see their smiling faces, but just for it to be more about caring for those around us, and how we treat each other, could just be that I am getting old and on that note I will say goodnight for now.xxx
